Zak Kaye has always been passionate about fiction and music, a love that led him to the realms of film and game scoring. Inspired by iconic works like Metroid and The Lord of the Rings, Zak's early musical explorations included playing the euphonium and bass trombone, and delving into symphonic and chamber music through the New England Conservatory's Preparatory program.

His dedication to combining narrative and music naturally led him to Berklee College of Music, where he majored in Film Scoring and minored in Game Scoring. At Berklee, Zak expanded his repertoire by composing in various genres, including electronic, folk, and contemporary classical music, as well as creating interactive music using audio middleware. His education also deepened his understanding of sound design, revealing how it can enhance storytelling in visual media.

Zak's professional career is marked by nearly four years of extensive experience in game audio. He has served as audio director on three games, overseeing the audio production process and ensuring a cohesive auditory experience. As a composer, he has created music for over six games, tailoring his compositions to enhance gameplay, and narrative. Additionally, Zak has worked as a Sound Designer on more than seven games, crafting soundscapes that immerse players in their virtual worlds.

As a composer for the concert hall, Zak has had several of his works performed by the Neither/Nor ensemble, of which Zak is a current member.

Since co-founding Svidanza Audio, Zak has been integral to the audio production for eleven games and two films. Svidanza Audio, an artists' collective, specializes in producing music, sound, and dialogue, showcasing Zak's versatile skills and commitment to high-quality interactive audio experiences.
